The lot/date code on your bottle of Happy Home Flavoring contains several numbers. The first three digits are the formula number (ex: 220 is Happy Home Imitation Vanilla), the next two numbers are the year of production (ex: 24 is for the year 2024), the next three numbers are for the Julian Date (ex: 275 would be for the 275th day of 2024 or October 1st). Any number trailing those would be the time stamp (ex: 15:50 would represent a bottle filled at 3:50 pm).
We have started coding bottles with "Best By" dates which are preferred by consumers. Best By dates refer to the freshness of the flavor and do not indicate that they are unsafe, but that the flavor may be beyond its peak.
